Hero has defined a new segment in the scooter market by unveiling the Hero ZIR. It was unleashed at the Auto Expo 2014 in two variants, one is the Flat Board model and the other is European Style Step thru model.

ZIR Flat Board comes with a 4-stroke cylinder with OHC engine which produces a displacement of 157.1cc with a maximum power of 14bhp at 8400rpm and a maximum torque of 12.7Nm at 7000rpm. Dimensions of the new ZIR are 2085mmX745mmX1385mmand the weight is 139 kilogram. The capacity of the fuel tank is about 9.0 litres and the mileage offered is also great. Top speed of ZIR is 110kmph. The design of this scooter makes a very bold and distinctive style statement with its unique style. Keeping in mind the safety of the rider it is equipped with telescopic shock absorber in the front and swinging engine and adjustable dual-shock absorber in the rear.

In the rear section, the scooter is equipped with a 220mm disc, which provides full control to the person driving and braking system is very quick and ensures safety of the customer. It comes with a digital fuel gauge, self-start, analogue tachometer, two digital trip meter, alloy wheels, pass light, low fuel indicator, digital speedometer, step up seat, passenger footrest, low battery indicator and many such features which makes it different from the other segment scooters. The electrical support is provided by a 12V 6Ah maintenance free battery. It would be available in the market in Black and Red colors.
