Expert opinion and recommendation

The Hero Maestro Edge 125 is a significant step forward for Hero MotoCorp in the 125cc scooter segment. While it may not stand out in terms of design, its styling, though similar to its predecessor, still looks fresh and appealing, especially with the dual-tone color schemes. The scooters performance is where it truly shines, with the fuel-injected variant offering a noticeable boost in power and efficiency. The handling is nimble, and the MRF tyres provide good grip, although the small 10-inch rear wheel can affect stability at high speeds. Features like the semi-digital instrument cluster, external fuel-filler cap, and USB charging port are welcome additions. However, the absence of LED lighting and a brake lock clasp is a bit of a letdown. Overall, its a solid choice for those looking for a blend of performance, features, and practicality.

Fuel efficiency information

The Hero Maestro Edge 125 offers respectable mileage, making it a viable option for daily commuters. Users have reported mileage figures ranging from 40 to 45 kmpl in city riding conditions, which is commendable for a 125cc scooter. MAXABOUT RATING AND OVERVIEW

Vehicle Overview
Hero Maestro Special Edition was discontinued as the newly launched Maestro Edge took over the segment and helped Hero clear up the royalty problem that was caused by products like Maestro and Impulse. The scooter was powered by 109 cc, single cylinder engine producing 8.05 BHP at 7500 rpm and 9.10 Nm at 5500 rpm. The scooter weighs 110 kg and claims a top speed of 90 kmph. It was once the best option when not considering the Activa as it acted as a body double for the same. Apart from Honda Activa, Hero Maestro rivaled Mahindra Gusto, TVS Jupiter and Yamaha Ray Z.
