Yamaha FZ 250
Yamaha Variant
Expert opinion and recommendation
The Yamaha FZ 250 is the most affordable motorycle in the segment and is well-known for its reliability and overall performance. The Yamaha guarantee of speed and safety is correctly combined in this motorcycle and the high fuel efficiency figures makes it a compelling prospect. The Yamaha FZ 250, commonly referred to as the FZ25, is a fantastic motorcycle for everyday use.
Recent news and announcements
Yamaha has priced the 2022 FZ 25 at Rs 1.38 lakh. Meanwhile, the FZS 25 comes in at Rs 1.43 lakh. In comparison, the KTM 250 Duke is priced at Rs 2.28 lakh, but boasts of a performance focused engine and slightly premium cycle parts.
Yamaha has taken the wraps off the FZ25 Thor Edition in Brazil. The motorcycle, which is a special version gets a graphics theme inspired by the Marvel character. So, it sports red and blue with golden highlights that feature on the headlamp cowl, tank extensions and side panels too. Then there are lighting graphics and ‘Limited Edition’ to denote that this one’s special. However, apart from the livery, the Yamaha FZ25 Thor Edition remains the same mechanically and in terms of bodywork too. Sporting a brawny fuel tank with faux air vents in its tank shrouds and a radical-looking full-LED headlamp, the FZ25 does have a good road presence. And underneath this styling is a 249cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled motor.

- Ex Showroom Price vs On Road Price
- Ex-Showroom Price is the Manufacturing Cost of the vehicle + Dealer/Seller Profit + GST (Goods and Service Tax) + Transportation Charges (from the manufacturing plant to the dealership). On the other hand, the On-Road Price is the actual cost you pay to the dealership to make the vehicle legal to run on the roads. It includes Ex-Showroom Price in your city + RTO Charges (Vehicle Registration) + One Time Road Tax + Insurance Charges. The On-Road Price also includes some optional things like if you opt for Genuine Accessories and Extended Warranty while buying a vehicle. Please note that the On-Road Price varies a lot across different states in India due to different percentage for the State Registration Charges.

Overview
For over a decade, the FZ series has kept a position among the inspiring riders in the streets across the country. Twelve years later, the Yamaha FZ pushed the limits even further with their 2022 iteration of the FZ series. The new FZ 25 can drive you through the urban jungles and beyond, following the philosophy; adventure doesn’t have to be big to be unforgettable, what matters is you experience them every day.
Yamaha FZ 25 Design and Style
2024 FZ 25 is Yamaha’s latest addition to the FZ series with a couple of tweaks and quirks compared to the previous FZ 250. It is an entry level commuter in the 250cc segment and the overall design is based on the same design and style platform as seen in the earlier versions. FZ 25 gets a bigger engine, striking front end design with stare back LED headlight and muscular fuel tank with shrouds. The decals add a simple but aggressive look, the rear section with a step-up design with rear cowl is created. The rear LED taillight, tidy tail design, sporty tyre hugger, short and stubby exhaust adds to its sporting look. New international colour schemes with edgy graphics and an advanced midship muffler cover all finished in dark schemes.
Yamaha FZ 25 Engine and Gearbox
2024 Yamaha FZ 25 is offered with a BS6-compliant 249cc air-cooled, 4-stroke, SOHC, 2-valve, single-cylinder FI engine fine-tuned and optimised for the Indian conditions. It comes equipped with an advanced 4-row core oil cooler to keep the engine from heating in the hot summer. The 250cc engine is tuned to pump out a maximum power of 20.8 HP @ 8000 rpm and maximum torque of 20.1 Nm @ 6000 rpm. The gearbox installed in the new FZ 25 is a 5-speed constant mesh transmission with a multi-disc wet clutch.
Yamaha FZ 25 Suspension, Brakes and Tyres
2024 FZ 25 is supported by a diamond chassis with 41mm telescopic forks at front and 7-step adjustable mono-shock suspension at rear. The braking duties are handled by 282mm front single-disc and 220mm rear single-disc, which is aided with dual-channel ABS (Anti-lock Braking System). FZ 25 is installed with 17 M/C*MT 2.50 front and 17 M/C*MT 4.00 rear alloy wheels and tubeless tyres of 100/80-17 M/C 52P front and 140/70-17 M/C 66S rear section.
Instrument Console of Yamaha FZ 25
All-digital, negative multi-function LCD instrument console is offered in the new Yamaha FZ 25, which displays the speedometer, tachometer, tripmeter, odometer, clock, fuel gauge and the ABS light. It doesn’t come with the bluetooth connectivity, navigation system and nor does it contain a USB port. It is readable even in the darkest hour and provides real-time information about the engine and mileage.
Key Features of Yamaha FZ 25
Class D Bi functional LED H/L + LED daytime running lamp, Multi-function Negative LCD instrument cluster, lightweight body, under cowl, high torque, wide rear tyre, 2-channel ABS are some of the key features of the new Yamaha FZ 25. Comfort features include electric start, pillion footrest, step-up/split seat, pillion grab rail and engine kill switch.
Top Speed and Mileage of Yamaha FZ 25
Top speed of the new Yamaha FZ 25 is approximately 134 kmph, the mileage is approx 38 kmpl. The 250cc sports commuter can speed up from 0 to 60 kmph in 3.37 seconds and 0 to 100 kmph in 8.58 seconds.
Yamaha FZ 25 Colour Options
2024 Yamaha FZ 25 is available in two colour options, namely Metallic Black and Racing Blue. Yamaha recently added a couple of new colour schemes to the variant FZS 25.
Yamaha FZ 25 Competitors
Bajaj Dominar 250, Suzuki Gixxer 250, Husqvarna Vitpilen 250 and KTM Duke 250 can be considered rivals to the new Yamaha FZ 25 in the Indian market.
Conclusion
The 2024 Yamaha FZ 25 has been updated in many areas and has made it a commuter worth having. It comes with an all digital instrument console, dual-channel ABS, good mileage, efficient braking system and Yamaha has a vast service network in India. But the lack of 6th gear, bluetooth, navigation system, USB could be something you need to keep in mind before buying the bike. FZ 25 is a decent bike but compared to its rivals, it could be a little underpowered. FZ 25 will provide you a smooth and relaxed drive through the urban roads, but if you’re looking for a heart throbbing adventure, then this might not be the bike for you.

Good to see you new yamaha .Thanks for
review about yamaha fz 25
,Yamaha FZ 25 visual looking great and smart super bike.
okay so im done listening to all the idiots out there , firstly yes its a 250cc and doesnt have the power figures of a 250 ,but this is crafted to beautifully that it performs like a beast in acceleration its beats the 200rs duke 200 200ns and anything u can think of for below 2laks ,YES ITS TRUE go check 0 to 60 and 0 to 100 , its top end is bad . Now since its power figures look like shit it puts out an amazing mileage .
There was no new look in tha fz250.
It just look like pulsar 200ns.
The price is very high
Now days bike designes are worst they look like bad boys sides haire cutting. This bike has normal design shape so it has got 59% votes.ktm karizmav2 even 220f have bad shapes.
Bikes of bazaj 220f,200rs etc are very rude and hard not give pleasure while is heavy.not suitable for bikes are ok
It is suitable for normal driving but not for crazy ships due to that karizma r was killed by hero ceo pawan munzal. Its hp andtrq at lower side compare to HX250R.But arrival of torque at 6000 is ok but it should be at 4000rpm like RTR160.If it cost at 1.1o lakh it will get momentum in sales market and draws custemorse to buy it.
While the design looks good, I'm appalled by the power output. I mean come on, Yamaha can do better than this. R3 with a 321cc puts out 42 bhp and this 250cc one puts one 20 bhp?
By looking at the latest ktm rc200 and pulsar 200 ns and 220f and rs 200 performance, this bike equals them 100%. But the top speed performace is excellant with fz250. This bike is already launched in brazil for the past 8 years and has 2 upgrades, since then. The top speed is 147 - 148 kms without hard rev, and with hard rev the top speed touched 168. So this bike has the potential to compete with all other 200cc and 250cc bikes.
Check out youtube for more details, as most of the test has been done in brazil.
Strictly for Yamaha fans guys !
250 cc, only 5speed , just oil cooled, and prise is 135000 ...2017 200 ns fi is much more better than this Fuddu..
