Our Verdict

Expert opinion and recommendation

The Triumph Thunderbird Storm is a powerhouse of a cruiser that embodies both style and performance. With its 1699cc liquid-cooled DOHC parallel twin engine, this bike delivers a staggering 98PS of power and 156Nm of torque, making it a joy to ride on both city streets and highways. The bikes design is a perfect blend of traditional and modern elements, featuring a blacked-out engine, frog-eyed twin headlights, and a comprehensive LCD display. The riding position is comfortable, with a high seat and forward controls that make long rides manageable. However, the rear suspension can be a bit bouncy on potholed roads, and the windsock effect may cause arm fatigue during high-speed cruising. Overall, the Thunderbird Storm is a solid choice for those seeking a robust, reliable, and visually appealing cruiser.

Triumph Thunderbird is a fabulously built cruiser by Triumph which was first introduced to the world in 1949 and gained worldwide recognition due to its comfortable, distinctive and powerful performance. It wasn't until 1966 that it had seen any change and even got a good response too. A powerful model with a 1699cc engine was introduced in 2011 with the name of Triumph Thunderbird Storm and that in black too. It can also be said that despite of the changes this cruiser has seen, it still carries the divine legacy of the original Thunderbird including its hard-edged style, a mean look with attitude, great handling and a powerful engine.
