Expert opinion and recommendation

The 2014 Triumph Speed Triple ABS is a motorcycle that embodies the spirit of pure, unadulterated riding pleasure. It lacks the modern electronic aids like traction control and riding modes, but this simplicity is part of its charm. The bike delivers power in a linear and predictable manner, making it easy to handle in urban settings as well as on the open road. The ABS-equipped Brembo brakes offer mighty stopping power without being overly sharp, and the suspension, though on the firmer side, handles bumps and irregularities with grace. This motorcycle is all about the joy of riding, with a throaty three-cylinder engine that sounds potent and delivers a smooth, creamy power delivery. Its a great choice for those who value the raw experience of motorcycling without the clutter of advanced electronics.

Pricing details and changes

The 2014 Triumph Speed Triple ABS, when it was available in India, was priced around INR 10.4 lakh ex-showroom in Delhi. On-road prices would have varied depending on the state and local taxes, but you could expect to add around INR 1-2 lakh to the ex-showroom price. This pricing made it a compelling option for those seeking a high-performance naked bike without the hefty price tag of some of its German and Japanese counterparts. While this model is no longer new, its value proposition remains strong for those looking for a used bike that offers a unique riding experience.

Mileage

Fuel efficiency information

When it comes to mileage, the 2014 Triumph Speed Triple ABS is not designed for fuel efficiency but for performance. You can expect an average mileage of around 15-20 kml, depending on your riding style and conditions. This is typical for a high-performance motorcycle, and the running costs will be higher due to the larger engine and the need for premium fuel. However, if youre looking for a bike that prioritizes power and riding excitement over fuel economy, the Speed Triple is a great choice.
