Overview

Keeway, a two-wheeler manufacturer that recently entered India, has launched its fourth product in the country. It's a sub-300cc bobber called the Keeway V302C, and as the name implies, it has a V-twin engine, making it Keeway's second V-twin motorcycle in India.

In May 2022, Keeway made its debut in India by introducing three two-wheelers. 2024 Keeway V302C has a low-slung bobber design, unlike the K-Light 250V, which has a cruiser design. They outfitted the motorcycle with blacked-out components, a raked front end, and a scooped single-piece seat. It has a wide handlebar, an LED headlight, bar-end mirrors, and a relaxed rider triangle, giving it a distinct stance in this segment.

The new V302C has a low kerb weight of 167kg and a seat height of 690mm, which means it should be easy to handle for short riders as well. Keeway V302C Engine and Gearbox

A 298cc V-Twin cylinder liquid cooled 4-strokes 8-valves, SOHC engine powers the newly launched Keeway V302C. This BS6-compliant engine generates a maximum power of 29.5 HP at 8500 rpm and a peak torque of 26.5Nm at 6500 rpm. This 298cc V-Twin engine comes with a 6-speed manual transmission system. Unlike traditional motorcycles, the Keeway V302C uses belt drive instead of chains, which is more durable and lasts longer.

Keeway V302C Suspension, Brakes and Tyres

Keeway uses Inverted Telescopic forks with 120 mm travel at the front and Telescopic coil spring oil damped with 42 mm travel at the rear. Single Disc, 300mm Ø at the front and Single Disc, 240mm Ø at the rear handles the braking duties in Keeway V302C. Keeway has fitted the V302C with 16-inch alloy wheels wrapped with a 120/80-16 tyre section at the front and a 15-inch alloy wheel wrapped with a 150/80-15 tyre section at the rear. A dual-channel ABS (Anti-lock Braking System) aids the dual disk brakes on the new Keeway V302C, providing it with a layer of safety.

2024 Keeway V302C features a round fully digital instrument cluster, LED headlights and taillights, and a dual-channel ABS. The speedometer, tachometer, trip meter, odometer, fuel level indicator, temperature, gear position indicator, and other instruments are all housed in the instrument cluster. Other features of the Keeway V302C include an electric start, a pillion seat, a stand warning/indicator (Stand Alarm), an engine kill switch, a clock, and alloy wheels.

The new Keeway V302C starts at Rs 3.89 lakh ex-showroom. The motorcycle is available in various colour variants, with the top-spec V302C finished in Glossy Red costing Rs 4.09 lakh ex-showroom.

Keeway V302C Competitors

2024 Keeway V302C has no direct competitors, but the Royal Enfield Meteor 350 and Yezdi Roadster can act as well-deserved rivals to this bike. Though it is significantly more expensive than both of them, the much more unique V-twin engine configuration and many more features explain the higher price.
