Expert opinion and recommendation

The Hyosung GD250N is a compelling addition to the Indian motorcycle market, particularly in the quarter-liter segment. What stands out immediately is its sleek and futuristic design, complete with a tipped-forward stance, a unique prism-shaped headlamp, and stylish 17-inch alloy wheels. The bikes performance is equally impressive, with a 249cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine producing 28 BHP at 8500 rpm and 24 Nm of torque at 7000 rpm, mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The handling is nimble and responsive, aided by its lightweight 145 kg frame and well-tuned suspension. However, the ride quality can be a bit too sporty for Indian road conditions, and the absence of ABS at its price point is a notable omission. Overall, the GD250N is a strong contender, but its success will heavily depend on competitive pricing and a robust after-sales service.

Pricing details and changes

The pricing of the Hyosung GD250N in India is a critical factor that could influence its market reception. While the exact ex-showroom and on-road prices may vary depending on the region and local taxes, it is expected to be positioned in the premium segment of the quarter-liter market. Historically, the GD250N has been priced around the 3-4 lakh ex-showroom mark, which translates to an on-road price of approximately 3.5-4.5 lakh, considering various state taxes and other costs. This pricing puts it in direct competition with other popular models like the KTM Duke 200 and Yamaha FZ25. To attract buyers, Hyosung needs to ensure that the pricing is competitive and justifiable by offering excellent quality, reliability, and a compelling service experience.

Fuel efficiency information

When it comes to mileage, the Hyosung GD250N offers a reasonable balance between performance and fuel efficiency. Users have reported an optimal mileage of around 30-35 kmpl in city riding conditions and up to 40 kmpl on the highway. This is commendable given the bikes power output and sporty nature. However, actual mileage can vary based on riding style, road conditions, and maintenance of the vehicle.
