Our Verdict

Expert opinion and recommendation

The Hero Honda Passion Plus Alloy is a reliable and efficient commuter motorcycle that has stood the test of time. With its robust 97.2cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine, it offers a balance of power and fuel efficiency. The bikes telescopic hydraulic shock absorbers at the front and swing arm with adjustable hydraulic shock absorbers at the rear provide a comfortable ride, even on rough roads. The addition of features like the i3S startstop technology, a part-digital instrument console, and a USB charging port enhance its usability. However, the lack of a disc brake option might be a drawback for some. Overall, it is a solid choice for those seeking a dependable and economical commuter bike.

MAXABOUT RATING AND OVERVIEW

Vehicle Overview
Hero Honda Passion was one of the best selling model when both the companies sold their two wheelers under a single brand. It was powered by the frugal 97.2 cc, single cylinder engine producing 7.5 BHP at 8000 rpm and 7.95 Nm at 5000 rpm. The engine comes mated to a 4-speed gearbox and claimed 85 kmph of top speed. It weighed 116 kg and carried nearly the same design as present day Passion series. It rivaled Bajaj Platina, TVS Star City and other entry level commuters in the Indian market. Passion was known for its vibrant shade options and attractive price placement.
