The bikes 45-degree V-twin engine delivers a throaty, torque-filled power delivery, especially in the lower rpm range, which is quintessentially Harley-Davidson. However, the bikes sales were hampered by its positioning, as it didnt quite fit into either the sport bike or traditional Harley-Davidson cruiser categories. Despite this, the XR1200 is a joy to ride, with confident brakes, a comfortable riding position, and a distinctive look inspired by flat track racers. If you can find a good deal, the XR1200 is definitely worth considering for those who want a Harley with genuine sporting abilities.
