Our Verdict

Expert opinion and recommendation

The Bajaj Pulsar F250 is a stellar addition to the Pulsar lineup, living up to the legacy of its predecessors while offering a blend of performance, comfort, and practicality. My experience with the F250 has been nothing short of impressive, from its smooth and powerful 249.07cc engine to its well-balanced ergonomics. The motorcycle handles impeccably, whether youre navigating through city traffic or cruising on highways. The addition of features like bi-functional LED headlamps, a gear indicator, and a slipper clutch enhances its usability. While minor issues like mirror visibility and paint quality are notable, they do not detract significantly from the overall package. For those seeking a reliable, fun, and affordable motorcycle, the Pulsar F250 is an excellent choice.

Recent news and announcements

Bajaj has kept the pricing of the 2024 Pulsar F250 competitive, matching it with the Pulsar N250 at Rs 1.51 lakh. This aggressive pricing strategy, coupled with the new features and updates, is expected to boost sales. The bikes powerful engine and tough build quality are also likely to attract more buyers. I think this pricing will help Bajaj gain a stronger foothold in the 250cc segment.

Units of the 2024 Bajaj Pulsar F250 have started arriving at dealerships, even before an official launch announcement from Bajaj. This silent debut indicates that the company is ready to hit the market quickly. The bike retains the same 249.07cc, oil-cooled, single-cylinder engine as the Pulsar N250 and comes with a 5-speed gearbox and a slip-assist clutch. I think this strategy could help Bajaj capture market attention swiftly.

The 2024 Pulsar F250 boasts a unique front fascia and aerodynamic benefits thanks to its fixed windscreen and fairing. This design distinguishes it from the Pulsar N250 and other competitors like the Yamaha Fazer 25. The bike also features sportier clip-on handlebars, which should appeal to riders looking for a more aggressive stance. I believe the combination of design and performance will make this bike a favorite among enthusiasts.

The 2024 Bajaj Pulsar F250 has been launched in India, priced at Rs 1.51 lakh, which is the same as the 2024 Pulsar N250. The new model features a semi-faired design, clip-on handlebars, and a fully digital instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation. However, it misses out on USD front forks, unlike the Pulsar N250. I think the semi-faired design and updated electronics will appeal to those looking for a sporty yet practical ride.

Bajaj has updated the Pulsar F250 with several new features, including traction control with three ABS modes (road, rain, and off-road), larger petal discs, and fatter tyres (110-section front and 140-section rear). The motorcycle also gets improved switchgear, a USB phone charging port, and all LED lighting. The engine remains unchanged, producing 24.5 PS of power and 21.5 Nm of torque. I believe these updates will enhance the riding experience and make the bike more competitive in its segment.

On October 28 last year, Pulsar completed its 20 years and on this occasion, Bajaj launched two bikes in the Pulsar series in the Indian market. The two bikes that have been added in the series are the Pulsar F250 and N250, which are semi-faired and naked segment sports bikes respectively. Bajaj Pulsar is listed among the five most influential bikes in modern Indian history. The original Pulsars were game-changers that let Bajaj stand where the company is today, as a global motorcycle giant. Twenty years after the originals, today’s new Pulsars aim to change the game rather than enrich and enhance what the Pulsar has to offer.

Overview

Bajaj Pulsar F250 Design and Style

The new motorcycles feature completely fresh designs with plenty of things resembling the existing Pulsar lineup. The differences between the naked and the semi-faired F250 are clearly in the front. Both bikes share the same fuel tanks, side profile and tail section. The rear looks smart with a large split seat, nice curve to the body panels as they meet the model version of the Classic Pulsar tail-amp. Over at the front, both use the same projector LED headlamps but they get different running lamps and of course, the F variant gets a semi fairing. They both rather are nice looking machines although they are not super attention-grabbing. The F250 is a more familiar design, this is quite a bit of the old pulsar 220 in its face and the old AS200 in the overall layout.

New Bajaj Pulsar F250 Engine and Gearbox

The 2024 Bajaj Pulsar F250 is powered by a 249.07cc, SOHC, and oil-cooled single-cylinder engine that churns out a maximum power of 24.5 HP at 8750 rpm and generates a top torque of 21.5 Nm at 6500 rpm and is coupled with 5-speed constant mesh gearbox along with assist and slipper clutch. Apart from that, the bike comes with BS6 compliance.

Bajaj Pulsar F250 Instrument Console

New Bajaj Pulsar F250 is equipped with a new instrument console which remains simple but looks classy with its analogue rev counter. The digital part of this new display now has useful things like a clock, gear position indicator and distance to empty gauge.

Bajaj Pulsar F250 Brakes, Suspension and Tyres

The bike stands on alloy-wrapped 17-inch front and rear MRF tyres. The stopping power comes from a 300mm disc brake with ABS at the front, and at the rear end, it has a disc brake of 230mm. The suspension baggage comprises a 37mm telescopic front suspension and a monoshock with Nitrox setup at the rear.

Key Features of New Bajaj Pulsar F250

Some of the key All New Bajaj Pulsar F250 features include: Bi-functional LED Projector Headlamp, Assist and Slipper Clutch, Infinity Display Console, USB Mobile Charging Near the Tank Flap, Gear Position Indicator, Distance to Empty, Nitrox Suspension, Tubular Frame, Boomerang LED DRLs.

Bajaj Pulsar F250 Top Speed and Mileage

With its light clutch and easily accessible performance, the Pulsar F250 will be enjoyable in city traffic but it is also happy to hold between 100 and 120kph on the highway without the engine sounding harsh or stressed. For the top speed junkies, the bike offers approx 130kph. As for fuel efficiency, the Pulsar 250 has an ARAI certified number of 39kpl.

New Bajaj Pulsar F250 Colour Options

The two colour options offered by Bajaj Auto are Racing Red and Techno Gray and both the colours look awesome in their way.
