The new model is expected to complement the existing Tennis scooter, potentially targeting a different segment of urban commuters. Industry analysts anticipate this move as part of VLF India’s strategy to expand its electric vehicle portfolio.

The VLF Tennis e-scooter has achieved significant success with over 300 bookings since its launch in November 2024. The scooter is equipped with a 1.5kW motor delivering 157Nm of torque, a 2.5kWh battery offering a 130km range, and a top speed of 65 km/h. It is assembled locally at Motohaus’ facility in Kolhapur. I believe this local assembly has played a crucial role in its popularity.
