Piaggio India has launched the Vespa Urban Club 125, the most affordable Vespa scooter in India, priced at Rs 72,190 (ex-showroom, Pune). The scooter is available in four color options: Maze Grey, Azzurro Provenza, Glossy Yellow, and Glossy Red. It features a 125cc air-cooled engine producing 9.5 bhp and 9.9 Nm of torque. I think this is a great move to make Vespa more accessible to a wider audience.

The Vespa Urban Club 125 features a monocoque chassis and a suspension setup that includes a bottom-link type front and rear monoshock. It has a 150mm front drum brake and a 140mm rear drum brake, but it lacks tubeless tyres and front disc brakes. I believe these omissions are a trade-off for its competitive pricing.
