Expert opinion and recommendation

I have to admit that I am pleasantly astonished at how Kawasaki has incorporated the feel of big bike into this smaller version. So far, from what I have understood with the Z125 Pro, it is not just a simple video game that trains you to handle ‘bigger and better’ machines but rather it presents itself as a viable solution for those looking for a ‘stylish and fun’ small capacity premium motorcycle. The Kawasaki Z125 Pro is an interesting product that has cornered into a very specific type of consumer. It does not even attempt to be the most practical unit and nor is the most powerful. it goes beyond that and is concentrated on providing an enjoyable experience in riding but by all means looking great in the process. Indeed it will within the bounds of the city, function effectively for the right type of rider putting to shame the saying that ‘big things come in small packages’.

Recent news and announcements

The 2024 Kawasaki Z125 Pro has been announced with no major mechanical changes, but it does come with new color options, including Candy Lime Green, Metallic Matte Dark Gray, and Cypher Camo Gray. This mini naked bike retains its 125cc engine and aggressive Z styling. I think the new colors will appeal to a younger demographic looking for a stylish entry-level motorcycle.

The 2024 Kawasaki Z125 Pro is expected to be priced competitively, with an MSRP ranging from $3,649 to $3,849 in the US, though Indian pricing is yet to be announced. Given the current exchange rates, it might fall in the range of Rs. 3.5 lakh to Rs. 4 lakh in India. This pricing could make it an attractive option in the Indian market.

Kawasaki has emphasized the Z125 Pros design, which includes an exposed trellis-type chassis and minimal, aggressive bodywork. This design encourages spirited riding and gives the bike a unique look that stands out in the mini naked bike segment. I believe this design will resonate well with Indian riders who are looking for a stylish and fun ride.

Professional reviews and expert opinions on Kawasaki Z125 Pro

One such motorcycle which has made the motorcycle riders go gaga over it from the time of its launch

One such motorcycle which has made the motorcycle riders go gaga over it from the time of its launch, with its compactness, agility and super availability in the city is the Kawasaki Z125 Pro. In recent years, this mini streetfighter has found a nice niche in the burgeoning small displacement motorcycle market and entices a new and experienced rider alike who are in the market for an affordable, fun motorcycle.

Design and Engineering

The Z125 Pro is designed to produce a powerful and attractive machine but with an impressive small physical dimensions that makes it easy to use. Kawasaki’s creative designers have been able to cram quite a number of technologies and features into this very small package.

Striking Aesthetics

Its larger Z-series siblings are used for the aesthetic comparisons. Core improvement gives the Z125 Pro a size that is very small, but confident and aggressive in its lines and volume. A sports look1 is lent to the bike by aggresive lines, pointed and faceted shape surfaces, a particular shape of headlamp and a compact raised tail end. Stunning cosmetic looks of the Z125 Pro make a big impact in the urban riding environment with bright colors of Candy Lime Green and Metallic Matte Dark Gray.

Powerplant's Performance

Z125 Pro has a 125 cm3 air cooled single cylinder engine, but it is a fuel efficient Integrado. Furthermore, this powerplant has an appropriate nature of responding to low end performance and mid range and hence fits perfectly for the everyday city use. However, at 8000 revolutions per minute the engine is giving some power of about 9.25 and some torque of about 7.1 lb ft at about 6000 rpm2. The values of these are nothing to be impressed with in terms of torque and engine performance more so to a small bike chassis like this, which translates to a bike that is fun and friendly to ride.

Chassis and Suspension

For this reason, the backbone frame of the Z125 Pro is made of a carbon fiber that makes it rigid and flexible to the structure of the motorcycle making it quick to respond to maneuvers. On the front side, the suspension configuration is a 30mm Inverted Fork and on the rear side is a single shock with 4 way adjuster with pre-load of 3.9 inches 4 way adjustable of pre-load2. This setup allows a good compromise between comfort but does not constrain agility, especially for close range urban manoeuvre.

Performance and Riding Experience

The performance of the bike has always impressed both the beginners and experienced riders, though the size of the bike remains small.

Urban Usefulness

The Z125 Pro is at its best in congested places where its compact dimensions and lightweight (224.8 lbs wet) means easy officer2. In fact, the bike has a short wheelbase of 46.3 inches that helps in its turning ability and maneuverability in heavy traffic, and the target group is people living in cities and many drivers who have to go through blocked traffic.

Relaxed Riding Posture

The design of the riding position is also undeniable comfort with the Z125 Pro standing out. What I like about the bike is its simply upright handlebars, seat height of 31.7 inches and low footpegs that allow riders to have different height variations2. This has been the bridge for riders who wish to go long distances and also help control better, confidence especially for the learners.

Brakes and Defence

Both wheels get fitted with two petal style disc brakes, 200mm at the front and 184mm at the rear. It has no ABS but the bike was light and the brakes were good so the weight of the bike was moot since most of the conditions could be braked with some reasonable measure.

Industry Placement and International Comparisons

However, Kawasaki gives the Z125 Pro to a segment that has been dominated by the Honda Grom, but for those who want to try something different, this one has a number of great features and more importantly, great characters.

Z125 Pro vs. Honda Grom

The scoop for the Z125 Pro vs Honda Grom has both with their hands folded in a tiebreaker as far as performance vs specs is concerned because these two are always at par with each other. The Z125 Pro returns the favor on each.

  • Stronger and more persistent aggressive styling
  • A little lower gearing for quicker acceleration
  • Riding comes to make sense more straight back.

As Motorcyclist Troy Siahaan describes, the Z125 Pro “is literally a smaller version of a motorcycle, while the Grom is just more fun and feels like a killing toy.”3.

Market Reception

Since the introduction of Z125 Pro in 2016, the motorcycle has been accepted right from day one. The machine has been made favorable for both newbies and seasoned riders looking for a second fun bike, as the overlapping aspects of the machine.

The mini motorcycle sales have also been riding on Sales trends of which the Z125 Pro is comfortably on the bullish side of the curve.
- This is observed to be growing quite fast and significantly in the aftermarket industry for the Z125 Pro and bringing enhancement opportunities to the owners.
Since the Z125 Pro is easy to learn and control, several riding and training institutions have also embraced it.

Using the above scenario, give future tendencies, factors and implications that will impact on provisioning.

As the world grows more concerned with the environment and continues to be urbanized, small motorcycles such as the Z125 Pro will continue to be in demand. However, potential buyers should consider on some factors such as:

Advantages:

  • He has been reported to use more than one hundred ml per kilowatt hour, and he has high mileage of more than 100 miles per gallon fuel consumption efficiency.
  • Cheap upkeep expenses
  • It is convenient to park, store and start the bike.
  • A lot of entertainment and modification for the owners

Disadvantages:

  • They do not have enough high speeds for highway use.
  • But for someone who is also looking for more power, they may outgrow it rather fast.
  • Too small for displacement to be used for touring gear and capabilities.
  • One can expect to see the following looking forward.
  • Further electrification of the mini motorcycle segment
  • Intended for mass lay down into big bikes, with features of advanced rider aids and connectivity features.
  • The further development of the urban oriented motorcycle sharing with concept similar Z125 Pro

The burning question is that many motorcycle manufacturers are asking, does performance extend the designer’s articulation of why she disapproves of adopting massive limbs mini motorcycles, as efficient and practical machines? Will the mini motorcycles be revolutionized by the electric engines or will we see smaller engine in mini motorcycles?

In this regard, the Kawasaki Z125 Pro, which is new to Mini-motorcycles industry segments, has specific competition in mini motorcycles. It will be a winner for performance, style and practicality melded towards city dwellers, budding motorcyclists and experienced motorcyclists looking for a sporty but economical vehicle.

As urban sprawl continues to grow, and concern for the environment also grows, vehicles like the Z125 Pro, which is rather practical, will have no problem meeting the expectations of the modern rider.
