The Kawasaki Ninja 300 is a superb entry-level sportbike that strikes a balance between convenience and performance. Riders making the switch to sports-oriented motorcycles will find it to be an appealing alternative thanks to its sleek look, polished engineering, and approachable power. Even though it isn't the most powerful in its class, it provides a lively riding experience ideal for weekend excursions and urban commuting. Both new and seasoned riders alike like the Ninja 300's dependability, maneuverability, and legendary Ninja heritage.

Recent news and announcements

Kawasaki has launched the 2024 Ninja 300 in India, priced at Rs 3.43 lakh (ex-showroom). The new model features visual updates, including new colour schemes such as Candy Lime Green and Metallic Moondust Grey, along with new graphics for the Lime Green paint scheme. Mechanically, the bike remains unchanged. I think the new colours are a nice touch, but its clear that Kawasaki is sticking to what works.

The 2024 Kawasaki Ninja 300 has been introduced with no mechanical upgrades, retaining the same 296cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine that produces 38 bhp and 26.1 Nm of torque. The bike still lacks modern features like LED headlights, Bluetooth connectivity, and traction control. I believe this simplicity could appeal to those looking for a straightforward riding experience.

Kawasaki recently updated its portfolio by launching the 2023 edition of its fully-faired motorcycle, the Ninja 300. As is usually the case with most Kawasaki updates, the only change the Ninja 300 has received is three new colour options. Nevertheless, these paint schemes are jazzy and bring along a breath of fresh air. The new colour options for the Ninja 300 are called Lime Green, Candy Lime Green, and Metallic Moondust Grey.

The BS6 compliant version of the Kawasaki Ninja 300 was launched in India, meeting the stringent emission norms without any notable mechanical changes. The price was hiked, but the bike retained its performance and features. I think this update was necessary to keep the model compliant with regulations.
March 3, 2021
India Kawasaki Motor has issued a recall for about 1,358 units of the Ninja 300 ABS models due to an issue with the front brakes. This recall highlights the importance of safety checks and maintenance. I think its commendable that Kawasaki is proactive about addressing such issues.

Kawasaki is a well-known brand name among people, particularly among the elder generation who grew up on Kawasaki-Bajaj motorcycles. From that time until the present, the Japanese two-wheeler company has become significantly larger and more premium in India. The brand focused on localised production of its bikes and launched Ninja 300 in 2018 which was a heavily localised bike. Introduction

Since then the bike has gone through various updates and ruling the hearts of Indian young bikers. To know more about its features and specifications, let’s discuss them in detail.

Kawasaki Ninja 300 Design and Style

Talking about the appearance, the company has launched the New Kawasaki Ninja 300 in three different shades. Halogen headlamps, an LED taillight, a semi-digital instrument console and designer black-out wheels make its look all the more spectacular. At the same time, it has a fuel tank of 17 litres and weighs about 179 kg. This will make it much easier to travel long distances.

Kawasaki Ninja 300 Engine and Gearbox

At the heart, the New Kawasaki Ninja 300 gets a 296cc, liquid-cooled, 4-stroke parallel-twin engine that uses fuel-injection technology and is capable of churning out 39 HP at 11,000 rpm and 26.1 Nm at 10,000 rpm when coupled to a 6-speed, return gearbox.

Instrument Console of Kawasaki Ninja 300

2024 Kawasaki Ninja 300 features a semi-digital instrument cluster that comprises a digital speedometer, trip meter, odometer, an analogue tachometer, a clock, an ABS light, fuel gauge and low battery low oil indicators.

Kawasaki Ninja 300 Brakes, Suspension and Tyres

If we talk about the front look of the bike, then it has 37 mm telescopic forks, while it has a mono-shock suspension feature in its rear. Just like Kawaski's earlier BS-4 model, it also has an independence-sourced brake. Keeping in mind the speed as well as safety, it has a dual-channel ABS feature. It has 17-inch wheels which further strengthens its grip on the road.

Key Features of Kawasaki Ninja 300

Speaking of the key features, the Ninja 300 comes equipped with a Sporty Instrument Panel, Assist & Slipper Clutch, Dual Throttle Valves, Circuit-Developed Diamond Frame, Heat Management Technology, Elegant Design, 2-1 Exhaust with Short-Style Silencer, Wider Rear Tyre, Supersports Style Aluminium Footpegs and Petal Disc Brakes to mention a few.

Kawasaki Ninja 300 Top Speed and Mileage

2024 Kawasaki Ninja 300 touches the range of speed from 0-100 kmph in just 5.6 seconds. This bike promises to reach its top speed of up to 182 kmph and the company is claiming a mileage of 25-30 kmpl.

Kawasaki Ninja 300 Colour Options

Talking about the colour options, the company has launched the New Kawasaki Ninja 300 in three colours. These include Lime Green, Candy Lime Green, and Metallic Moondust Gray.

Kawasaki Ninja 300 Price Range

2024 Kawasaki Ninja 300 on road price is Rs 3.95 lakh in Delhi, Rs 4.08 lakh in Mumbai, Rs 4 lakh in Kolkata and Rs 4.05 lakh in Chennai. The prices mentioned here are approximate and we suggest you contact your nearest Kawasaki dealership to get the exact on-road price quote in your city.

Ex-showroom Price & On-Road Price

Ex-Showroom Price is the Manufacturing Cost of the vehicle + Dealer/Seller Profit + GST (Goods and Service Tax) + Transportation Charges (from the manufacturing plant to the dealership). On the other hand, the On-Road Price is the actual cost you pay to the dealership to make the vehicle legal to run on the roads. It includes Ex-Showroom Price in your city + RTO Charges (Vehicle Registration) + One Time Road Tax + Insurance Charges. The On-Road Price also includes some optional things like if you opt for Genuine Accessories and an Extended Warranty while buying a vehicle. Please observe that the On-Road Price varies a lot across diverse states in India due to different percentages for the State Registration Charges.

Kawasaki Ninja 300 Competitors

2024 Kawasaki Ninja 300 is in competition with Yamaha YZF-R3, Benelli 302R, TVS Apache RR 310, KTM RC 390, Suzuki GSX-S300, Honda CB300R, Honda CBR250RR.

Verdict- Should You Buy the Kawasaki Ninja 300?

One of the best-selling bikes in India in Kawasaki’s current lineup, the Ninja 300 is developed with sophisticated design and features. With this price bracket, it is far from the most affordable bike on the market. But, if you're looking for a motorbike that doesn't sacrifice pure riding enjoyment and performance, nothing beats this one. Enthusiastic riders who want to buy a sportbike with good features and style can go for this bike.

The fact about ABS being available on Kawasaki 300 is not true. This feature is sadly not given any serious thought by Kawasaki. Else, the bike is truly amazing. So nimble to drive, easy to control and pulsates you with excitement. Kawasaki, yah, that's world class tech for us. I feasted my sight on 800 too.
