Bajaj is set to relaunch the Discover 125T in India after discontinuing it in 2020 due to low sales and customer confusion from multiple variants. The new model will feature a single 125cc engine, a new front headlight, a sleek fuel tank design, and fully digital meter console. I think this relaunch could be a game-changer for Bajaj in the commuter segment.

The upcoming Bajaj Discover 125T will come with several modern features, including an LED headlight, LED DRLs, a digital meter console, and Bluetooth connectivity with navigation. The bike will also have a moderate seat height and is expected to deliver a mileage of 50-55 kmpl. I believe these updates will make the bike more appealing to modern commuters.

Bajaj Auto had previously reported a 2% increase in total sales in September 2013, partly due to the success of the Discover range, including the Discover 125T. The company sold 3,67,815 units in that month, with the Discover models contributing significantly to this figure. I think this shows the potential of the Discover series in the Indian market.

The Bajaj Discover 125T was launched in 2013 as a more affordable alternative to the Discover 125ST, with key differences including the use of gas-filled twin shock absorbers instead of a mono-shock suspension. It was available in both drum and disc brake variants, priced at Rs 52,500 and Rs 55,500 respectively. I think this made it a compelling option for budget-conscious buyers.

The Discover 125T featured a 124.6cc, single-cylinder, 4-valve, DTS-i engine producing 12.5PS of power and 10.8Nm of torque. It had a 5-speed gearbox and a top speed of 105 kmph. The bike was praised for its comfortable seating and sporty look. I believe the engine performance was a highlight of this model.
