Since its launch in March 2016, the Brezza had sold nearly 83,000 units, making it one of Indias top-selling models. In April 2016, the Maruti Vitara Brezza was launched in India, priced between Rs. 6.99 lakhs and Rs. 9.68 lakhs (ex-Delhi). The vehicle was designed and engineered entirely by Maruti Suzukis development team in India and was notable for being the first car to be certified for Indian offset and side impact crash tests. The Brezza was powered by a 1.3-litre Fiat-sourced diesel engine and featured a well-mannered suspension. I think the Brezzas launch marked a significant milestone for Maruti Suzuki in the subcompact crossover SUV segment.
