Maruti Alto K10 Diesel

Alto has been the flagship hatchback of Maruti Suzuki India Ltd for many years. Over the year its been churning out good results for the car maker on the back of low prices and good fuel economy figures. The small hatchback has been servicing the customers here in India for over a decade now. Recently the Maruti Suzuki launched a new variant 'Alto K10' with a new K10 engine and host of new upgrades. The all new 'Alto K10' in its new Avatar looks quiet refreshing and stylish. Maruti has given K10 extraordinary looks with front body color bumpers as well as the attractive front grille.

Maruti Suzuki is now planning to launch Alto K10 Diesel in India in coming months. It is expected to generate maximum power of 60 bhp with maximum torque of 150 nm. The chrome accentuated logo embossed on the front grille and the headlamp cluster in bold eagle-eye shape with crystal-clear lens makes it stunning and appealing at the very first glance. The new Alto is now equipped with 13” tubeless tyres, bigger than the outgoing version. Internally adjustable rear view mirrors and black door handles add to its distinctive looks. The all new 'Alto K10' now comes with more leg, head, shoulder and knee room in the rear seat row. Maruti has given utmost importance to comfort while designing K10. The front and rear seat has seat headrests along with folding rear headrests.

The moulded door trims has fabric inserts on them while the cabin lamp provides sufficient light inside K10. Few other features included are a new electronic trip meter with tachometer, ash tray, vanity mirror, AC with heater, accessory socket, sun visor, rear parcel tray, cup holders and front power windows. Remote back door opener & fuel tank lid opener, key-off reminder, central locking system are new added features in Alto K10. The all-new petrol Maruti Alto K10 is now powered by a new 3 cylinder KB petrol engine of 998cc displacement. Made of aluminium this light-weight KB motor generates max power output of 67.1 bhp at 6000 rpm along with max torque of 90 Nm at 3500 rpm.

2015 Petrol Alto K10 now features a 5 speed cable gear shift in place of lever shift used with the previous model. With these modifications the new K10 is much faster than its predecessor. As it does 0-100 kmph sprint in just 13.3 seconds, it is 4.4 seconds faster than the last generation Maruti Alto. The rear suspension of the car comes equipped with coil springs, gas filled shock absorbers with three link axle & isolated trailing arm and the front suspension with McPherson struts with torsion type roll control device. To make sure full safety for the passengers the K10 is equipped with features such as central locking, seat belts, fog lamps, key off reminder, internally adjustable ORVMs, and child locks on the rear door.
