- Datsun GO is a powerful mid-sized hatchback car which comes at the budget of an entry level variant. It is being rumored that Datsun might launch a diesel powered GO with an expected ex-showroom price tag of INR 4,50,000 soon, making it the most affordable alternative in the class. The car would be packed with a powerful 1461cc engine which generates a maximum power of 64 Bhp and a maximum torque of 160 Nm. The car comes with a boot space of 265 litres and has a ground clearance of 170 mm with a fuel tank capacity of 35 litres. In this price range segment, Datsun GO is a rival to Maruti Celerio and Hyundai EON.

Datsun unveiled its first new generation car the 'GO' in July, 2013 in Delhi. The company finally launched the car on 19 March, 2014 in the Indian market. The compact hatchback will serve as an extra reliable and budget car from the Nissan family. Datsun GO is based on the platform as that of the Nissan Micra.

Exterior
The hatchback is well designed, keeping in mind the rising needs of the young generations. The chromed hexagonal front grille resembles the honey comb nearly. The bright and trendy halogen headlights, stylish roof-line, black ORVMs, body colored bumpers and door handles, blacked out panels, protruding tail lamps, clear lens indicators, centrally mounted emblem of the company at the tailgate, all of these contributes towards its sporty stance. The 14-inch alloy wheels enhance the beauty of this car.
Interior
The Datsun GO has got spacious and comfortable interiors along with a large boot space of 265 litres. The dual tone beige shades on the inner side gives it a classy look. The stylish dashboard design, front and rear bench seats, a powerful AC, remote central locking and fuel filter, front power windows and steering, makes it look more premium. The chromed over dash buttons, door handles and AC vents goes well with the beige styles. The instrument console features a digital tachometer, a speedometer, a fuel gauge and a trip computer.
Music System
The Hatchback comes equipped with a dash integrated music system which has a device holder to connect your phone to the music system, all for the listening pleasure and entertainment of the users.

Datsun GO comes with a length of 3785 mm, width of 1635 mm and a height of 1485 mm as its dimensions. The car has a fuel tank capacity of 35-litres.
Engine and Gearbox
Datsun GO Diesel will be powered by a 1461cc engine, which develops maximum power of 64 Bhp and maximum torque of 160 Nm. The engine will be mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox.
Brakes and Tyre size
The car comes with disc brakes for the front and drum brakes for the rear side which makes the braking system strong and effective. The R13 type tyres of Datsun GO hold the roads firmly.
Safety Features
The Datsun has not given an equal importance to the safety of passengers. It only comes with the option of seat belts for the front and rear passengers.
Shades
Datsun GO diesel will be available in four striking colors: Black, Red, Blue and Silver.
No official announcement has been made about the launch of Datsun Go Diesel in India. It is a speculation that it will be launched with a diesel engine, which also powers the Nissan Mira diesel.
