Chevrolet's most aggressive offering for India is on its way for a change and the title comes with its launching year, the 2016 Cruze. The most powerful car of its segment has received minor updated to its current version but the New Year will bring with it an all new design and performance language to the car. The car gets a new platform, new visuals and entirely new rear portion. The bulky appeal of the current Cruze seems to fade as the new car brings sharpness to its attitude.

Design & Style

The upcoming version gets everything new in terms of cosmetic changes. The front light gets sharper appeal, stretched more than the existing one. Chrome has been widely used around the fog lamp panels and the air intakes. The front seems to be lean and muscular than the current bull, with more fluent designing on the door panels and side body. The rear gets a bump in height with overall increase in wheelbase and total length of the car. LED lights make the car look more beautiful. The new car is amazing but lacks the command of the bulky and powerful looking older version.

Engine & Performance

The engine in the new Chevrolet Cruze is expected to stay the same in India. The 2.0 L, 1998 cc engine produces 164 BHP @ 3800 rpm and 360 NM @ 2000 rpm. The most powerful car in its segment will be more powerful as the new frame on which it’s built is lighter than the current one, making it more quick and responsive than the current offering. The international version comes with a petrol mill, which will not be launched in India due to lesser demand of petrol cars in the segment. The car will be fully loaded with technology, making it easy for high numbers in the sales volume. The transmission will be handled by a 6-speed manual and an automatic gearbox in the Indian version.

The new Cruze will be more comfortable than the current version as Chevrolet claims a longer wheelbase with more space for the rear passengers. It comes with cruise control for easy riding and a sunroof for enjoying the weather and having fresh air at good times. The new car may get the carplay feature with its touchscreen, making it easy to connect and access your phone while in the car.
