Yamaha MT-15 Version 2.0 Photos and NEW Price List in India

Yamaha India recently launched its much-awaited MT-15 V2.0 street naked bike in the country’s two-wheeler market. After getting another price hike of Rs 1,500, the new model is currently available with a starting price tag of Rs 1.63 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The brand has been working on the new-gen model for quite some time after the discontinuation of the older model a few months back.

In terms of feature updates to this bike, it now gets gold-finished USD forks, as well as the "MotoGP, inspired" aluminium swingarm, as compared to the box-section swingarm of the existing bike. The next prominent addition to the bike is an updated fully-digital instrument cluster with a Bluetooth connectivity feature.

The new MT-15 V2.0 comes loaded with features like Yamaha’s Y-Connect app, a side-stand engine inhibitor, and a slipper plus assist clutch. Sadly, Yamaha has still not equipped the updated model of MT-15 with a dual-channel ABS unit and it continues to feature single-channel ABS as standard.

The manufacturer has offered the new model with an updated colour scheme, including Cyan Storm (new), Racing Blue (new), Ice Fluo-Vermillion, Metallic Black, and Monster Energy MotoGP Edition. Although there have been no major cosmetic changes to the new model MT-15 V2.0. Its design and styling include a single-pod projector LED headlamp with brow-shaped LED DRLs, both of which are carried over from the previous bike.

Moreover, powering the MT-15 V2.0 is the same 155cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that powered the outgoing model. It is capable of churning out 18.4 hp at 10,000 rpm and 14.1 Nm of torque at 7,500 rpm and is coupled to a 6-speed gearbox. Even in its most recent incarnation, the MT-15 continues to compete against the KTM Duke 125, its single opponent in the entry-level segment of the Indian two-wheeler market.
