Suzuki V-Strom 250 Starts Reaching Dealerships - Live Photos

A few days back, the Suzuki V-Strom SX 250 was launched in the country, and now a surprise unveiling of the V-Strom SX has been done in a dealership in Dehradun and Akshat Kalia of BikeAdvice was able to capture some amazing pictures showcasing the entry-level ADV. ADV lovers by surprise, as it has various features and specifications that many potential buyers might be interested in.

The current entry-level ADV space is filled with bikes like the Royal Enfield Himalayan, Yezdi Adventure, BMW G 310 GS, KTM 250 Adventure, and Benelli TRK 251. The Japanese 2-wheeler maker has revealed that the V-Strom SX is a road-biased adventure tourer with decent off-road capabilities.

The V-Strom SX is said to be available to the buyers from this month because they are currently going through RTO approvals all over the country and test rides and bookings will only commence after the clearance in the upcoming weeks.

Other than the V-Strom SX currently sitting in the showrooms in India, there is another 250cc variant that is being sold internationally and it has no connection with the Indian variant. The Indian version costs less than the global one, which might be the reason why Suzuki reworked the V-Strom for the Indian market and not just imported the international model.

At its heart, the V-Strom SX ADV is powered by a 249c, single-cylinder engine with the Suzuki Oil Cooling System (SOCS). It’s worth noting here that this engine was explicitly developed for the Indian market and is responsible for powering the Gixxer 250 and the Gixxer SF 250. The engine produces 26.5HP of maximum power at 9300 rpm along with 22.2Nm of peak torque at 7300 rpm. It is mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
