Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 Spotted Road Testing Again - Video

Royal Enfield’s 650cc segment Interceptor and Continental GT bikes witnessed a huge success in the Indian two-wheeler market, and currently, the brand is working on a slew of new bikes to expand the portfolio.

All of these upcoming bikes have already been spotted road testing. Among these three, one is a cruiser, another one is a tourer, and the third is expected to be a bobber. The latter was even shown as a concept – as the SG650 – at the EICMA 2021 in Italy.

This new Royal Enfield 650cc bobber, which is expected to be named Shotgun 650 when it is released, has been spotted yet again. The spy video is courtesy of a Youtube channel named Raj Kumar. The all-new 650cc Royal Enfield Bobber will be built on the same chassis as the 650 Twins.

Taking inspiration from the retro design language, this bike will boast plenty of features, including a rounded headlamp, round rearview mirrors, a teardrop-shaped fuel tank, a flat handlebar, a comfortable single seat, and a chrome finish on the exhausts. A semi-digital instrument cluster, Tripper Navigation for turn-by-turn updates, and smartphone connectivity could also be included in the list of features.

In terms of powertrain, the engine specifications for the new RE 650 bobber are the same as those for the Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650. This 648cc, twin-cylinder, air/oil-cooled engine is capable of churning out 47 HP at 7,150rpm and 52 Nm of torque at 5,250rpm. This engine is coupled to a 6-speed constant mesh gearbox.
