Tesla Cars to Officially Get YouTube and Netflix Streaming
Another day and yet another fascinating tweet from Tesla’s CEO Elon Musk confirmed that the Tesla cars are highly likely to get the ability to stream Youtube and Netflix videos. The news has been confirmed from Elon’s reply to a fan asking about the version 10 of the in-car software. All thanks to the car’s extraordinary sound system, video streaming is bound to offer a cinematic experience to the passengers. “Ability to stream YouTube & Netflix when car is stopped coming to your Tesla soon! Has an amazingly immersive, cinematic feel due to the comfy seats & surround sound audio.” Tesla CEO Elon Musk teased in a tweet. According to him, the customers will be able to stream a video only when the car is stationary. The videos can be further streamed when waiting for a passenger as well as during the charging time. Tesla’s CEO also confirmed that once the regulators approve the fully autonomous driving capabilities, video streaming can be made available when the cars are in motion. According to the reports, Tesla officials also plan on extending the current decision to in-car gaming features though, considering the safety measures, it is not an entirely suitable idea as even in the autonomous driving mode, the driver might have to take control of the situation manually to avoid accidents. “When full self-driving is approved by regulators, we will enable video while moving”, Tweeted by Elon Musk on the approval of self-driving mode. While most people will not buy Tesla car for streaming their favourite Netflix videos on the go, this one doesn’t seem like a bad option for many who find themselves idle in the car frequently.
