Top 15 Best-Selling Small Cars in March 2020; Elite i20 Beats Altroz
As per the sales data released by Auto Punditz, Maruti Baleno stands at the first position in the list of top 15 best-selling small cars in March 2020. The premium hatch was able to register a sales figure of 11,406 units for the previous month. The next four positions on the list have also been marked by Maruti Suzuki. Following it is Hyundai Grand i10 with a sales figure of 4,293 units for the last month. It witnessed a drop of 41% in terms of sales when compared to the sales number posted by the car in the same month last year. The seventh position in the list has been marked by Maruti Celerio that was good enough to register a sales figure of 4,010 units. The next two positions in the list have been bagged by Hyundai Elite i20 and Santro by registering sales of 3,455 units and 2,169 units respectively. Going down in the list we have Tata Altroz at the thirteenth position with a sales figure of 1,147 units for March 2020. Following it is Tata Tiago at the fourteenth rank by registering 1,127 units for last month. The fifteenth position has been marked by Ford Freestyle crossover hatchback with sales of only 340 units. All cars have posted a significant drop in sales due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic as India is currently going through a 21-day lockdown period.
