Tata Safari Dark Edition: The Bold SUV That Stands Out All Black
The Tata Safari Dark Edition is up next. This one’s going to draw you in if you are anything like me and you appreciate and SUV with a big, loud, bold presence, that does not have to bark. For those of you who know me you know that I love the Safari for its classic rugged charm but the Dark Edition? It cranks that vibe up with its all black styling. That’s a vehicle that says more than words. Trust me there is something thrilling about seeing this all black beast rolling down the street.
A design that mimics conversation without having to speak a word.
The first thing you notice about it is just how much it likes its look with the Dark Edition. The black sunk so he went all in. Everything from the body to the wheels is shaded in this glossy, almost mirror black that feels as though it should be a superhero movie. The grille, wheels, even the badging, are all blacked out, creating an unashamedly cool impression. I would go so far as to say they did and that he (Tata) wanted the Safari Dark Edition to say, 'I have arrived' and I wouldd say they successfully accomplished that. So if there’s an SUV with an attitude out there this is it.
Matching the Look, Good Performance
Alright now let’s talk about how it drives if there is no muscle that’s supporting a tough exterior then what’s the point? While the Safari Dark Edition features a familiar 2.0-liter diesel engine from the normal model it's enough strength to ensure highway trips feel smooth and powerful. For an SUV this size, it is got solid acceleration, but I am always amazed by the stability. At higher speeds the Safari feels steady and secure, like it is latching onto the road for you. It is not trying to be a speed demon but it is just perfect for those long drives when you just want a bit of peace on the road.
Interior Space: Black on Black, but Not Dull
The black theme continues on the inside and it is not dreary at all when you step inside. For that Tata chose black leatherette upholstery with textured accents which made the car classy and kind of luxurious. The ambience lighting is sleek and stylish yet goes just far enough to ‘curb appeal’ the interior. As for space, there is a lot of it and we are going to talk about it. Roomy enough for a family road trip, or, if you are like me and like a lot of legroom, it is just perfect. Tata’s done a great job of balancing style with comfort and it still feels cozy but not too cozy.
Tech and Infotainment: Easy on the eyes, simple to use.
I am a little bit of a tech fan and I like user friendly clean interfaces. The Safari’s infotainment system ticks those coBoxes. So the 8.8-inch touchscreen is responsive has everything I need and Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, sound system (that holds its own) that’s what’s important to me straightforward. I do not want to fool around with controls to be driving. That is nice but it is even better in the Dark Edition’s shadowy interior where the screen’s glow just enhances the whole vibe providing a perfect contrast that plays well under all lights.
Healthy Features That Let You Take a Quiet Breathe
When you are driving a big SUV like this it is no surprise safety always comes first, and Tata gets it right here. The Safari Dark Edition is powered by six airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control and a number of other comforts. That is how it is built to keep you and your passengers safe in tricky situations. It is nice to know that there’s that kind of security surrounding you knowing you have that. That is like driving with an invisible second layer of protection that enables you to focus on the road entirely unfazed.
Is the Dark Edition Worth It?
Speaking of real things is the Tata Safari Dark Edition worth the buy? For me, it is a no brainer. Not just a SUV this is heavy elegance neatly wrapped in a bold statement. You keep that classic Safari look, space, comfort, performance, but with a cool, sleek look that just feels bold. The kind of SUV that makes you want to ignore the fast lane so you can drive slow and take in the attention. If you are looking for an SUV that’s fun to drive as well as to look at the Dark Edition is one to consider.
The Safari Dark Edition is easily identifiable in a sea of SUV’s it Is that one friend that’s effortlessly cool, confident and does not really have to work hard to be noticed.
