Despite the transition to a 1.0-litre TSI petrol engine in the BS6 era, the Rapid retains its reputation as a drivers car. The engine delivers a punchy performance, especially noticeable when you hit the higher RPM range, making it a joy to drive on highways. However, the lack of a diesel option and the absence of the previous 7-speed DSG gearbox might be a disappointment for some. The cars classy, mature styling and the fit and finish of its interiors are definite positives. While it may not offer the same level of space as some of its rivals, it is more than sufficient for a family of four. Overall, if driving pleasure is high on your list, the Skoda Rapid Style is definitely worth considering.
