Skoda Rapid Leisure Automatic

Skoda has launched recently the special edition of Skoda Rapid Leisure which will be manufactured in limited numbers in petrol. Because of the failing automobile sales expectations, not only Skoda but even some other major companies also launched special edited versions of their famous cars. Skoda Rapid Leisure is a C+ segment sedan based on Ambition Plus trim. The diesel variant is available at INR 9.06 lakhs, while the petrol variant is priced at INR 7.79 lakhs and the automatic variant at INR 8.80 lakhs.

The exterior of Skoda Rapid Leisure gives both a stylish and muscular look with big extended aerodynamically designed headlamps with halogen lights, chromed central grille, power adjustable external rear view mirror, body colored front bumper with an air dam and rear bumper, square shaped front and rear fog lights, rear parking sensors, door sill covers, 15-inch alloy wheels, brake lights with LED bulbs, body colored door handles, antenna on the roof, tinted window frames, B-pillar with black décor, rear wiper and defogger and boot lid with angular press and two dents. The interior also is very beautiful with leather seat covers, adjustable steering column, fabric upholstery, glove compartment, digital clock and a tachometer.

The 1598cc, four cylinder, 1.6l, TDI Diesel engine has a maximum power of 105 bhp at 4400 rpm and a maximum torque of 250 Nm at 1500-2500 rpm and is mated with a five speed manual transmission and has a top speed of 186 kmph with a mileage of 17 kmpl in the cities and 20.5 kmpl on the highways. The petrol engine also comes with option of five-speed automatic transmission. It has a minimum turning radius of 5.3m for easy cornering.

Rapid Leisure also has a lot of advanced safety features which are ABS with BA, remote central locking, driver side Airbag, rear child safety lock, day and night rear view mirrors with passenger side rear view mirror, halogen headlamps, rear seat belts, side impact beams, door ajar warning, crash sensor, centrally mounted fuel tank and an engine immobilizer. It has disk brakes at front and drum brakes at rear. The suspension system is a McPherson type with lower triangular links and torsion stabilizer at front and compound link crank-axle at rear.
