Mercedes has increased the battery capacity of the 2024 EQS from 108.4kWh to 118kWh, resulting in a maximum range of over 510 miles. This update, combined with stronger regenerative brakes and a new heat pump, makes the EQS one of the longest-range EVs available. The interior has also been enhanced with more comfortable rear seats and the standard MBUX Hyperscreen.

The 2024 Mercedes EQS has been updated with a new braking system that includes advanced regenerative software, enhancing the brake feel and efficiency. This system also incorporates a feature to occasionally use friction braking to prevent disc wear. Additionally, the EQS now comes with a standard heat pump to efficiently heat the cabin, boosting range in colder conditions. I think this is a significant improvement for everyday driving.

The 2024 Mercedes EQS features improved performance with the EQS450+ gaining 6 more horsepower and 2 more pound-feet of torque, and the EQS580 4Matic getting 20 more horsepower and 2 more pound-feet. These updates bring the peak outputs to 335 horsepower and 419 pound-feet for the EQS450+, and 536 horsepower and 633 pound-feet for the EQS580 4Matic. I believe these power boosts will make the EQS even more appealing to performance enthusiasts.

The 2024 Mercedes EQS now comes with the MBUX Hyperscreen as standard on all models, which includes a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster, a 17.7-inch central touchscreen, and a 12.3-inch passenger-side touchscreen. This extensive display system enhances the driving and passenger experience significantly. I think this is a great move to standardize such advanced tech across all trims.
