In 2013, Mahindra Reva launched the e2o, which is the successor to the REVA NXR and NXG concepts. Although the e2o did not directly replace the NXG, it utilized similar technology. The e2o was launched in India with a price of Rs. 5,96,000 after a government subsidy. I believe this was a significant step in making electric vehicles more affordable.

Mahindra & Mahindra acquired a majority stake in Reva Electric Car Co Ltd in 2010, renaming it Mahindra Reva Electric Vehicle Co Ltd.
