Expert opinion and recommendation

It is a car made for eco friendly city people who want to minimize their carbon footprint without sacrificing comfort. But if you are a family wanting to live out of it for a longer time, the small boot and less than abundant space in the rear isn’t going to help. If you are in the market for an electric vehicle, the IONIQ is one of the better EVs if you are looking for a mid range EV that can fit your urban lifestyle where charging stations are available.

Latest Updates

Recent news and announcements

The 2025 Hyundai IONIQ 5 has introduced a new XRT trim, which features a higher ride height, all-terrain tires, and distinct visual tweaks, making it more suitable for off-road adventures. This update also includes mild styling changes, a revised center console, and an upgraded infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. I think this new trim will appeal to those who want a bit more ruggedness in their electric SUV.

Hyundai has enhanced the IONIQ 5s battery capacity for the 2025 model year, with the larger battery pack increasing from 77.4 kWh to 84.0 kWh, resulting in an estimated range of up to 318 miles per charge. This improvement, along with the adoption of the NACS charging port and a CCS adapter, makes charging more convenient. I believe this will significantly boost the vehicles appeal in the Indian market where range anxiety is a major concern.
March 15, 2025
The 2025 Hyundai IONIQ 5 now features a Tesla Supercharger-compatible NACS port, allowing users to charge at over 17,000 Tesla Superchargers without an adapter. This, combined with access to 36,000 DC fast chargers nationwide, including 250kW Level 3 options, enhances the vehicles charging convenience. I think this move will make long-distance travel in an EV much more practical.
February 20, 2025
Hyundai has updated the IONIQ 5s safety features for 2025, including enhancements to Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist, Lane Keeping Assist, and the addition of a side-impact collision avoidance feature. These updates aim to provide a safer driving experience. I believe these advanced safety features will be a major selling point in the Indian market.
January 25, 2025
The 2025 Hyundai IONIQ 5 N, a high-performance variant, has been unveiled with up to 641 hp and track-ready features, making it the most powerful Hyundai ever. This model can accelerate from 0-60 mph in approximately 3.25 seconds when using N Launch Control and N Grin Boost. I think this will be a game-changer for performance enthusiasts in India.

Expert Verdict

Professional reviews and expert opinions on Hyundai IONIQ

30 Sep, 24 10:47 PM
The Hyundai IONIQ is an exciting electric vehicle brand that has quickly made a name for itself in the automotive world. Launched as a sub-brand in 2020, IONIQ aims to offer a range of eco-friendly cars that are stylish, efficient, and packed with advanced technology. This article will explore the history, features, and future of the IONIQ lineup, focusing on models like the IONIQ 5 and IONIQ 6.

Hyundai IONIQ: Sharing My Opinion about the Prospects of Electric Cars

Over the years, I have come across many cars and make and model but the Hyundai IONIQ is a car that creeps into your life unnoticeably. It doesn’t try to draw attention to itself as some new-age electric vehicles do but once you sit behind the wheel of the car you are sold. I didn’t have time to see it coming and I certainly didn’t intend it. It is as if it as the friend who does not call special attention to the new clothes he or she is wearing hence looking cute. The IONIQ is just confident in its existence and gets on with providing a quality product.

Hyundai IONIQ’s Marketing Points

Come on, admit it there has been a rash of EVs of late. But the IONIQ? I like this kind of feel it has That chic style I do like it. It is as if it is whispering to me 'Yes' I am great, but have not and will not flaunt it. They have not overdone it and there is a lot of imagination in the sleek designing of this car by Hyundai. The absence of any sharp edges and particularly absolutely round corners make the appearance look very much like a modern almost global if you prefer. However, the casting buttons are very much there pointing toward a future-car experience.

I remember the first time I took it out for a spin and my initial thought was “Alright, this is different.” And not in a bad way. The interior is plain but far from bland and the technology is integrated just where you want it with no fuss. You sit down behind the wheel with all the tools you need at your command but it’s not confused with buttons and displays.

Performance: More Than Just a Pretty Face

So now tell me, if there is anything I pay great attention to each time I am behind the wheel, it is the performance of a car. And me? Let me tell you that the IONIQ does not leave me indifferent at all. I thought that the general Electric Vehicle quietly experienced here doesn’t give riders the impression if the car is on or off but there’s just the right buzz from the IONIQ to remind the driver he or she is in a powerful car. It was as if somehow multiple fibre strands could say ‘I am still present here today’ but it doesn’t have to shout about it.

It doesn’t get sudden or swift like the jerky feeling exuded by some other electrically operated vehicles. When you step on the pedal it gives the right amount of force you need back. It Is not the car to make you slam back in your seat but it is fast enough to maintain the interest levels. This is some next level shit you know, the exact kind of smooth where two intelligent people can discuss something in a relaxed manner because one of them doesn’t have to constantly remind everyone he knows what he is doing.

And the handling? Spot on. This is possibly one of the few electric cars one could easily be forgiven for not noticing is actually an electric car due to theRolls-Royce’s lively feel in terms of acceleration and overall responsiveness. It is quick as if it is anticipating your moves each time you take a turn or want to apply the brake. I like that Hyundai didn’t water down any of the driving fun for efficiency, which I think is huge.

Tech Features: The Right Kind of Smart

As much as technology is important to me. I preferred doing things with the simplest procedures as much as possible. The IONIQ gets this just right. There is always right placement of all items and one does not need some tech manual to fathom it. The touch controls on the center panel are intuitive and the whole infotainment system is what is expected from a car nothing more, nothing less. Imagine that mobile phone you have been using for years and already memorized every button and its function – no frills but everything just fine.

Now, talking about the safety features Hyundai has done a remarkable job without intimidating me like the car is fully in control. What I don’t need is a car that attempts to take over the wheel and yes, with the IONIQ. I did not feel that was the case with the car. It is very safe when you want it to be but does not interfere with the normal drive you just want to have. And that’s similar to having a co-pilot who can decide when to take over or when to leave you alone.

Environmental Impact: Small but significant

All right, let’s turn to the given subject for a second and discuss the environment. Sure I am not an ecology freak but I do have a concern for having a small impact on the environment. With IONIQ, I do my share for the environment while not needing to make any compromises. This is not a case of a company transforming an ordinary car into an environmental friendly car and labeling it Green this car means it. Hyundai has ensured they are usable and environmental friendly as they intended not to compromise on the fun as well. Sometimes that has got to about a car that makes you feel so good when you are taking it for the environment or any other feature you require.

Pricing and Verdict: Worth Every Penny?

Ok, let’s move to the basics- price. The IONIQ isn’t the cheapest EV on the market but here’s the thing. It is worth every penny. But when you consider what you are getting, good appearance, reliability and practical technology then it’s a bargain. Hyundai has discovered how to produce an electric car that will not cost a great deal but will offer the lot across the board.I have used many cars in my lifetime and I can say the IONIQ is the kind that makes you go “Why did not I use this car?” It’s utilitarian and useful and playfully entertaining without the need to be excessively so. So, if anyone is in the market for an EV that gets it right. The Hyundai IONIQ should definitely be on the short list.

Here you have my opinion on the Hyundai IONIQ as a personal opinion is at least somewhat useful to somebody. By no means is it just another electric car manufacturing company. It is the one that shall go unnoticed and yet beg the question why other car manufacturers do not employ such logic in their production processes? It’s good looking, smart, and in terms of performance, you always have this feeling that a ‘correct’ decision was made every time the key is turned (or the button is pressed). This version however keeps all your facts well intact and also incorporates more of that feel that you were interested in. It is as close to having a chat with a friend over a cup of coffee, easy to understand, lively and filled with information. How does this feel now? If you wish more changes just let me know.
