Force Trax Toofan PS

Manufactured by Force Motors in Pune, India the Trax is a series of multi-utility vehicles (MUVs). These vehicles also receive many additional names such as Cruiser, Gurkha, and Judo and majorly aim at private buyers.

Suited best for the severe conditions found in the Indian countryside, these vehicles are of simple, tough and durable construction. In 1998, the four-wheel drive "Tempo Trax Gurkha" was introduced, originally aimed mostly at military users.    

Force Toofan is a tempest just as like its name suggests. It is really good for road presence, ground clearance and lower maintenance costs, which all favors Force Toofan in Indian roads. Power on the new Force Trax Toofan Deluxe and Cruiser Deluxe comes from a 2.6-litre four-cylinder diesel engine sourced from Mercedes and churns out 81 PS of power at 3200 RPM and 230 Nm of torque available between 1800-2000 RPM, paired to a 5-speed gearbox. The MUV gets a solid torsion bar with hydraulic telescopic shock absorbers at the front while conventional leaf springs do suspension duties at the rear. An anti-roll bar helps contain body roll. The ground clearance stands at 210 mm, making the Trax easy to handle the rough terrain in rural areas.
