The 2024 Audi TT Final Edition has been released in Australia, marking the end of a 25-year production run for the iconic sports car. This special edition is priced at $88,749 plus on-road costs and features a 2.0-liter turbo-petrol engine producing 180kW and 370Nm of torque. It also comes with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and quattro all-wheel drive. I think this is a fitting tribute to a car that has been a design and performance benchmark for so long.

The 2024 Audi TT range includes four variants, starting from the 45 TFSI QUATTRO S TRONIC at $84,000 and topping out at the RS 2.5 TFSI QUATTRO S TRONIC at $139,769. All models are built in Germany and come with a 5-year, unlimited kilometre warranty. The TT is known for its fuel efficiency, with the most economical variant using 7.0L of premium unleaded petrol per 100km.

Known for its Bauhaus design simplicity, the TT has been a favorite among European performance car enthusiasts. The Final Edition is a polished and understated execution of this design philosophy.

Audi has confirmed that the TT will be discontinued after the 2024 model year due to poor sales and the companys shift towards electrification. The TT has been a staple in Audis lineup since 1998, but with only 613 units sold in the U.S. this year, it no longer makes financial sense to continue production. Its sad to see such an iconic sports car go, but its a sign of the times.
